Here's a birthday present for a music lover who especially likes violin and piano.
The finished box is about 8 inches tall.
Materials: top and bottom are 1/4 inch curly maple. Sides are 1/4 inch plywood.
The inside lid is zebra wood. Got the wood from O'cooch hardwoods.
Assembly was wood glue and clamps.
Inside of box before sanding. It's easier to sand the inside before gluing the base.

The design was created in Adobe Illustrator and set up for lasering in Coreldraw.
The pieces were cut using a 60-watt Epilog Co2 laser.
